General Description

The designer will produce construction drawings and details for treatment plants, water distribution systems, and sewer collection systems. The designer will contribute to other related projects, and work side by side with civil engineers, surveyors, project managers, CADD designers, and project administrators.

Essential Duties

· Produce civil/mechanical plans for water and wastewater facilities.

· Prepare accurate construction plans and details with input from the Project Engineer and Project Manager.

· Interpret sketches and markups provided by the Project Engineer and other team members.

· Collaborate with the design engineer, project manager, and project administrators in the planning and production of a complete set of construction documents.

· Utilize company CAD standards effectively in addition to updating templates and any other CADD processes for the team’s needs.

· Perform administrative and other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

· Associate’s degree in CAD or Design/Drafting Technology, preferred.

· Must have at least 3-5 years of experience.

· Experience in the preparation of construction plans for water and wastewater facilities, preferred.

· Experience in civil and mechanical design preferred.

· Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

· Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D

· Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

· Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

· Must have a positive attitude, a high attention to detail, a desire to produce quality work, and a strong work ethic.

· The ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment is required.

· Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and handling frequent interruptions.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive employee information, requiring discretion and adherence to privacy protocols.

· Comply with company policies and procedures.

Reports To

· Supervision Received: Senior Design Engineer and Senior Project Manager.

· Supervision Given: This position does not oversee the work of others.

Working Conditions

This position operates in a professional office setting, utilizing computer equipment. Occasional visits to project sites may be required, which may involve walking, standing, or exposure to construction or industrial environments.
