CAD DRAFTER

Position Overview:
We are seeking a CAD Drafter to assist in the preparation of architectural renderings, shop drawings, and structural construction drawings for custom fabricated fire training structures. The position is newly created and will work directly under the guidance of an engineer. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to custom design solutions and grow in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, and maintain CAD drawings using predefined templates and standards.
• Develop CAD drawings by measuring existing parts or following engineering redlines.
• Organize and maintain drawing libraries for ease of use.
• Modify simple equations in Microsoft Excel as directed by the engineer.
• Flexibility to perform additional tasks beyond traditional CAD drafting, including supporting other team needs.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience or a certificate of completion in CAD drafting or a related program.
• Solid experience with 3D modeling using SolidWorks (candidates with strong experience in similar 3D modeling software such as OnShape or Solid Edge may be considered but must show ability to transition to SolidWorks quickly).
• Proficient in 2D drawing using AutoCAD, with a focus on structural detailing (experience in this area is strongly preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a high school or college-level algebra course is required.
• Ability to edit 2D electrical drawings/schematics is a plus but not required.

Salary: 

$65,000-$75,000 DOE
