Our client, a leading insurance organization, is seeking a Healthcare Claims Analyst to join their team. This role focuses on analyzing healthcare claims data to support underwriting decisions, risk assessment, and pricing strategies in the stop-loss and managed care insurance space.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize healthcare claims data and internal tools to generate insights for underwriting and risk selection.
• Conduct initial underwriting assessments, evaluate risk factors, and provide pricing recommendations.
• Collaborate with senior underwriters to develop proposal terms and refine offers based on new information.
• Manage the request-for-proposal process and maintain organized underwriting records.
• Assist underwriting teams with research and analysis to enhance decision-making processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least five years of experience working with healthcare claims data in an underwriting, claims, or data analysis role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in both independent and team settings.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and adapt to new challenges.
• Minimal travel required.
