Job Title: HVAC/Plumbing Design Supervisor

Location: Honolulu, HI

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced HVAC/Plumbing Design Supervisor to lead our engineering team in Honolulu, HI. This leadership role offers the chance to manage and enhance the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for large-scale commercial projects. Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality HVAC and plumbing system designs.
• Oversee the design process, including load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts for commercial construction projects.
• Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and clients to develop cost-effective and innovative mechanical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and training to support the professional development of team members.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in estimating, budgeting, and planning HVAC and plumbing system installations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing system design within commercial construction.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain licensure in Hawaii.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and mechanical design principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience working with design-build projects.
• LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable design.
• Familiarity with Hawaii-specific building codes and environmental regulations.

Location & Work Environment:

This position is based in Honolulu, HI. You will be able to work in an office setting while also visiting job sites to collaborate with on-site teams. We offer a team-oriented, fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality mechanical systems for commercial projects.
