Project Manager - Land Development - Austin, TX

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager specializing in Land Development to join our growing team. The successful candidate will manage all phases of land development projects, from initial planning through to completion, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality results. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, as well as a solid understanding of land development processes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Coordination: Lead the development of project timelines, budgets, and scopes of work. Coordinate with all stakeholders including engineers, architects, contractors, and local authorities to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all land development projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Oversee the permitting and approval processes for zoning, environmental impact assessments, and land use planning.
• Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and that costs are managed to stay within the approved budget.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays, legal issues, or unforeseen costs.
• Scheduling & Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time. Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Site Management: Oversee on-site project activities, ensuring proper safety measures are followed, and that the project is progressing according to schedule.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in land development, real estate development, or construction management.
• Strong knowledge of land development regulations, zoning, permitting processes, and environmental laws.
• Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) license
• Experience with large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use land development projects.
• Familiarity with GIS software or land development-specific tools.
• Strong network of industry contacts, including contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
