About the Role
The Company is in search of a Managing Director for Business Development to lead the expansion of its client base. The successful candidate will be tasked with generating and qualifying leads, securing client referrals, and actively managing client relationships. This role requires a professional with a proven track record in business development, particularly within the finance and legal industries, and a strong network of relationships across various sectors, including private equity, hedge funds, and Fortune 500 corporations. The Managing Director will also be responsible for shaping business development strategies, leading marketing initiatives, and representing the firm at major industry events. A key aspect of the role is to meet or exceed sales targets and to ensure client satisfaction while cross-selling the company's service offerings. Applicants for the Managing Director position should have 10-15 years of experience in the finance or legal industry, with a minimum of 2 years in corporate intelligence, and a preference for those with an MBA, CPA, or JD. The role demands a self-starter with a professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and a commitment to exemplary client service. Experience in conducting due diligence and complex investigations is essential, as is the ability to operate effectively in an international environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at negotiating, proposal writing, and providing expert-level advice to support strategic decision-making. French language proficiency is a significant plus, and the role offers the opportunity to create training and growth opportunities for junior colleagues in the business development team.
