We are committed to providing whole person care, investing in your well-being, and enriching your career.Key Position Details:Allina Health is seeking a Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant.1.0 FTEInpatient/outpatient rolePosition may include weekends and call in the futureLocated at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in MinneapolisJob Description:Principle Responsibilities:Perform minor procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, thyroid fine needle aspiration, arthrography, CT and US-guided biopsies, etcPerform pre- and post-procedural follow-up patient evaluation, draft notes in the medical recordCall results of imaging examinations, if neededAdminister contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by the radiologistAdminister general medications as prescribed by the radiologist in conformance with organizational policyCare of the patient prior to, during and following radiological procedures, wound management, diet intervention, insertion and removal of vascular catheters, management of drainage tubesCompletes comprehensive patient assessments.Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.Refers for specialty care when determined.Consults with physician when patient needs outside of APP scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.Required Qualifications:Master's degree completion of accredited Physician Assistant program.Preferred Qualifications:3 years of experience post Physician Assistant training strongly preferred. Prefer 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience.Licenses/Certifications:Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice requiredBLS required within 180 DaysCertification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire requiredDrug Enforcement Administration upon hire requiredPhysical Demands:Medium Work*:Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequentlyPay RangePay Range: $55.24 to $76.43 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
