Job Summary
A Salesforce App Developer at Valkre is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a custom application for the Salesforce platform to enabled best in class Key Account Management. This position provides an opportunity to own all development efforts for a proven solution and build out a larger team over time.

Valkre is the leading provider of Key Account Management software. The company has a who’s who roster of customers representing the best Key Account Management programs in the world. Valkre also works closely with the Strategic Account Management Association. Valkre holds a market leadership position that is moving towards the next level of scale.
The company is located in Chicago, Fulton Market. We continue to work primarily on a virtual basis with a target of getting together at least once per month. This policy could change to where we get together somewhat more often but we do not anticipate working in an office full time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Custom application development:
Build custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce development tools to address unique business requirements.
Workflow automation:
Design and implement automated processes using Salesforce features like Flows, Process Builder, and triggers to streamline business operations.
Data integration:
Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs and data connectors to ensure data consistency across platforms.
User interface design:
Create user-friendly interfaces using Lightning components and design principles to enhance user experience.
Testing and quality assurance:
Conduct thorough testing of developed applications to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring quality and stability.
Performance optimization:
Monitor and optimize application performance to maintain efficient data processing and system responsiveness.
Technical documentation:
Document technical specifications, code, and design decisions for future maintenance and reference.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Proficiency in Apex programming language:
Strong understanding of Apex syntax, data manipulation, and triggers.
Knowledge of Visualforce and Lightning Web Components:
Experience building custom user interfaces using Salesforce's web development frameworks.
Salesforce platform knowledge:
Deep understanding of Salesforce core functionalities, objects, relationships, and data model.
Salesforce AppExchange knowledge:
Deep understanding of deploying and maintaining applications via the salesforce AppExchange
API integration skills:
Ability to leverage Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP) to connect with external systems.
Agile development methodologies:
Familiarity with Agile principles and practices for project management.
Problem-solving and analytical skills:
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Salesforce Developer certifications (Platform Developer I, App Builder)
· Experience with Salesforce configuration and administration tasks
· Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS
· Knowledge of data migration and ETL tools
· Strong communication and collaboration skills
