We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Teller at our credit union in Newport News, Virginia. As a Teller, you will have the chance to interact with customers on a daily basis, assisting them with their financial needs and providing top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities:
• Warmly welcome customers and address their banking inquiries with professionalism
• Process financial transactions such as deposits and withdrawals accurately and efficiently
• Guide customers in making informed decisions about their financial goals by educating them on our products and services
• Resolve account inquiries and problems in a timely and effective manner
• Actively promote and cross-sell the bank's products and services to meet customers' needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workspace to ensure smooth branch operations
• Stay updated with the latest banking products and industry trends to provide the best service to customers
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless banking operations
• Adhere strictly to all banking regulations and security procedures to uphold the integrity of our services.• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Proven ability in cash handling and managing cash drawers
• Demonstrable experience in daily cash management
• Familiarity with the banking industry, preferably with credit unions
• Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building strong customer relationships
• Experience in supervisory management, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Proficiency in data entry, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
